Head back to Month 2: Living the Rede: The Wiccan Path of Integrity & the Rule of Three to continue your journey.

Optional Stretch Goals

The Wiccan Rede & the Rule of Three

For the seeker who wants to go deeper

These stretch goals are optional invitations—not assignments. They’re designed for students who feel called to expand their practice, explore their edges, or personalize this month’s teachings in a creative and embodied way. Choose one or many… or simply let them inspire your own.

1. Write and Perform Your Own Ethical Dedication Ritual

Craft a simple ceremony that marks your intention to walk in alignment with your personal values. You might:

  • Light a candle for each core value you choose
  • Speak a vow or affirmation aloud
  • Anoint yourself with oil or water as a blessing of integrity
  • Ask your guides or deities to witness your commitment

Bonus: Record this in your Book of Shadows or grimoire as a sacred turning point.

2. Research Another Ethical System or Witchcraft Tradition

Explore how ethics are framed in another tradition or culture. For example:

  • The Threefold Law in Thelema
  • The Buddhist principle of right action
  • Indigenous views on reciprocity with the land
  • Historical witch trial confessions and what they reveal

Reflect: How does this perspective challenge, enrich, or align with your own?

3. Track the “Web of Return” in Daily Life

For 7 days, pay close attention to how your intentions, words, and energy ripple outward.

  • What came back to you—unexpected kindness? Friction? Insight?
  • Journal the connections between what you put out and what returns
  • Begin to see life as a magical mirror, showing your impact

This develops real-time sensitivity to magical cause and effect.

4. Write a “What Would I Do?” Ethical Scenario Journal

Create your own ethical dilemma involving magic, emotions, or real-life challenges.

  • Describe the situation
  • List possible actions (magical or mundane)
  • Reflect on what your ethics, intuition, and higher self would choose

Optional: Add it to your grimoire as a “case study” of integrity.

5. Have a Sacred Conversation

Talk to a trusted friend, partner, or mentor about your spiritual values.

  • Share your evolving beliefs or where you feel uncertain
  • Ask about their views on ethics, intention, or magical responsibility
  • Honor the wisdom of dialogue—and the insight it sparks within you

This weaves your practice into real life and opens space for connection.

6. Create an Ethical Symbol or Sigil

Design a personal symbol, sigil, or art piece that represents your spiritual integrity.

  • It could include your values, your Witch’s Code, or your vow
  • Place it on your altar, use it as a phone wallpaper, or charge it in ritual

Let it become a visual anchor for living consciously.

7. Daily “Sacred Pause” Practice

For one week, commit to using the Sacred Pause Technique before you:

  • Cast a spell
  • Make a difficult decision
  • Respond to conflict
  • Begin a ritual or devotional act

Notice how pausing to align with your values shifts your choices and energy.

Why These Goals Matter

The deeper you engage with ethical awareness, the more grounded your power becomes. These stretch goals help turn philosophy into practice—and make ethics not just a principle, but a way of life.

Living ethically is a magical act.

Each moment of integrity strengthens your web, your will, and your wisdom.
