Practical Exercises
Hands-on energy practices to build sensitivity, confidence, and control
Now that you’ve explored energy theory, movement, intuition, and personal power, it’s time to put that knowledge into practice.
These simple yet profound exercises help you:
- Strengthen your ability to feel and direct energy
- Build daily awareness of how your energy shifts
- Observe where your intuition speaks most clearly
- Record patterns to deepen your personal understanding
Each exercise can be done individually or in a sequence. You’ll also find printables and trackers in your companion materials.
1. Energy Ball Practice
Feel energy between your hands
- Rub your hands together briskly for 5–10 seconds.
- Slowly pull them apart and hold them palm to palm, about 6–8 inches apart.
- Begin to move your hands in and out, like you’re shaping a ball.
- Focus on the sensation between your palms—heat, tingling, resistance, magnetism.
- Envision a ball of energy forming. You can color it, charge it with intention, or expand it.
Repeat daily to build sensitivity.
This teaches you how to raise and direct energy at will.
Try This: After you create your energy ball, send it into an object (stone, candle, water) to practice charging with intention.
2. Body Scan
Track energy shifts throughout your system
- Sit or lie comfortably. Breathe deeply.
- Starting at your crown, bring awareness to each area of your body: head, neck, shoulders, chest, solar plexus, abdomen, hips, legs, feet.
- At each point, ask:
“How does this part of me feel—physically, emotionally, energetically?”
- Visualize releasing tension or calling energy into any depleted area.
Record what you notice in your journal or Body Scan Tracker (printable included).
This builds clairsentience and gives insight into how emotions or environments affect your energy body.
3. 7-Day Intuition Journal
A daily tracker for intuitive signals and outcomes
Each day, record:
- One intuitive hit, nudge, or gut feeling
- Whether you listened
- What happened next
- How confident you felt (1–10)
- What “clair” the guidance came through (seeing, hearing, knowing, feeling)
Over time, you’ll see which intuitive channels are strongest—and when you’re most receptive.
Use the printable Intuition Log or dedicate a spread in your Book of Shadows.
4. Create a Witch’s Energy Map
Visualize how energy moves through your life
Draw a simple diagram representing:
- Your energy inputs (people, places, practices that fuel you)
- Your energy outputs (tasks, people, habits that drain you)
- Power leaks or blocks (emotional, physical, ancestral)
- Areas where energy flows freely
- Symbols for energy recovery, rituals, and strength points
This helps you see your energy landscape clearly and begin designing your days with more alignment.
Think of it as a spiritual nervous system diagram—what lights you up, and what burns you out?
5. Energy Signature Tracker
Track how your energy feels morning and night
Use the Energy Signature Tracker (printable) or draw a simple chart with columns for:
- Date
- Morning energy (1–10 + keywords or colors)
- Evening energy (1–10 + keywords or colors)
- Notable shifts, events, or triggers
- Practices you used to regulate or restore
After 7–14 days, look for patterns:
- Do you drain at certain times?
- What restores you most quickly?
- What emotions or environments affect your energy the most?
This builds energetic literacy—a foundational skill for spellwork and everyday magic.
Reflection Prompt
Which of these practices feels exciting, and which feel intimidating? What might that tell me about the way I relate to my own energy?
