Embodying Power: A Somatic Activation Practice
Use movement, posture, and breath to embody your magic—physically and energetically.
Your body is a sacred tool in your magical practice.
It holds memories, wisdom, and energy patterns that go far beyond thought.
By incorporating somatic movement—that is, conscious movement to activate or shift energy—you give your magic a deeper channel to flow through.
This short ritual connects your physical body with your energetic power.
It’s quick, potent, and can be done daily to anchor confidence, clarity, and sovereignty.
When your body aligns with your will, you become a living spell.
Somatic Power Ritual
Use this ritual when:
- You feel scattered or disempowered
- You want to “step into” your energy before spellwork
- You’re reclaiming your space, voice, or personal truth
- You want to begin the day grounded and strong
Movement Instructions
Stand tall, feet planted shoulder-width apart.
Close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Step 1: Inhale and Reach
- Inhale deeply
- Raise both arms overhead slowly, drawing energy up from Earth and down from Sky
- Feel your entire body expand and open
Step 2: Exhale and Draw Inward
- Exhale slowly
- Lower your arms and draw them in toward your heart center
- Visualize pulling energy into your core—your solar plexus, your heart, your center of power
Step 3: Speak Your Power
Aloud or silently, say:
“My energy is my own.
I return to center.
I rise in power.”
Repeat the movement and affirmation three times, building energy and presence with each round.
Feel your spine lengthen.
Feel your heart open.
Feel your energy settle and strengthen.
Create Your Own Power Posture
Once you’ve practiced this basic movement, consider:
- Creating a signature gesture or posture that symbolizes your personal power
- It might be a mudra (hand shape), stance, or movement sequence
- Use it to anchor your magic in rituals, spells, and daily life
Let your body become a symbol of your energy and your presence.
Tip: Combine with Your Power Statement
Try speaking your Power Statement (see Lesson 9) during this ritual, or directly after.
This links your physical body, your energetic presence, and your inner truth—making your practice fully integrated.
Reflection Prompt
What physical movements, gestures, or postures make me feel strong, grounded, and centered? How can I use them to embody my magic more often?
